Truman J. Crockett

Truman is partner with the firm focusing on real estate and contracts. Originally from McDonough, GA, Truman came to Milledgeville via Athens. Truman obtained his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law after receiving his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Auburn University. Prior to joining Stribling & Crockett, Truman started his legal career at Zaxby’s Franchising LLC in Athens, GA as a legal services associate. Truman was responsible for providing internal review and perspective on contracts and to provide guidance to the internal business teams prior to assisting the further review and negotiation of the contract. 

During law school, Truman interned with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Securities Division, Zaxby’s, Cotiviti, and Moore & Van Allen’s Estate and Wealth Planning Division. These opportunities gave him firsthand experience in contract drafting and review, government regulation, and estate planning which inspired him to join a firm that provides a wide range of services. Truman was a member of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and is currently a member of the Real Property, Corporate Counsel, and Franchise & Distribution Law Sections of the Georgia Bar. 

After law school, Truman moved to Milledgeville, GA with his wife, Andersen, daughter, and their dogs, Poppy and Sunny. He enjoys tailgating with his friends and family in Athens or in Atlanta for Atlanta United games. During the spring and summer, Truman can be found golfing (poorly), playing disc golf, or on the lake with family.
